Raleigh Music to Represent Legendary Songwriter Jerry Ragovoy

Raleigh Music Group is proud to represent the music of legendary songwriter and producer, Jerry Ragovoy

The legendary songwriter and record producer, Jerry Ragovoy (September 4, 1930 - July 12, 2011) wrote and collaborated on some of the most soulful ballads of the 1960s, including the Rolling Stones hit "'Time Is on My Side" and the Janis Joplin signatures "Piece of my Heart," "Cry Baby," and "Try (Just a Little Bit Harder)". Mr. Ragovoy's songs have a wrenching emotional quality that matched Joplin's no-hold's barred approach to blues.

"Get It While You Can," which he produced on the Verve label for Howard Tate in 1967, is regarded by many critics as one of the finest soul albums of that decade and the sonfs he wrote and collaboraed on for Mr. Tate rank among his best, including "Get It While You Can," "Stop," which was later recoded by Jimi Hendrix, and "Ain't Nobody Home," later recorded by B.B. King
